Jordan Ball Galesburg IL Obituary|Support for Alex Ball After Tragic Loss Of Husband
It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of Jordan Ball, a beloved husband, father, and member of the Monmouth College community. Jordan tragically lost his life in an accident last night, leaving behind his wife, Alex, their two-year-old son, Atticus, and their second child, due in April.
Jordan, a standout baseball player and a member of the Class of 2021, was known on campus not only for his athletic talent but also for his kindness, loyalty, and generosity of spirit. He touched the lives of many as a dedicated middle school history teacher, where he brought passion and energy to the classroom every day. His commitment to serving others and his deep respect for both his students and the subjects he taught made him a beloved figure in the community.
Monmouth College President Patricia Draves expressed the sorrow felt across the campus: “Jordan was, and remains, all that is good about Monmouth College. We mourn the loss of a devoted husband, father, teacher, and friend.”
As Alex and her young children navigate this unimaginable loss, a GoFundMe has been set up to support them during this incredibly difficult time. Please consider donating to help ease their financial burden, especially with their second child on the way.

No amount is too small, and every contribution is deeply appreciated as they try to rebuild their lives in the wake of this tragedy.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Alex, Atticus, and their family as they face the days ahead. Jordan’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
