It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark T. Jordan, a truly gifted musician and a generous, kind soul. Mark passed away on Monday after battling medical issues that ultimately led to his untimely departure. He was a “monster of a talent,” known for his ability to play with soul and unparalleled skill, making his mark on the music world.

Mark’s career was filled with unforgettable moments, and he had the privilege of playing with some of the greatest artists of our time. One of his most memorable gigs, and a personal favorite, was his time performing with Bonnie Raitt. His ability to blend Blues and Swing was unmatched, and he could captivate any audience with his soulful piano playing. He truly could radiate the 88s, as his unique style and charisma left a lasting impression wherever he went.

We had just scheduled a lunch a few weeks ago when Mark had to cancel due to new health concerns. Sadly, after taking a bad fall and being hospitalized, he didn’t recover. His passing leaves a hole in the music world, but his contributions and the joy he brought to so many lives will never be forgotten.

Mark lived in Nashville, Tennessee, and was originally from Providence, Rhode Island. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania and later became an independent musician, spending his time writing, singing, and sharing his talent with the world.
