It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Meredith Ashley Yanes, who left this world peacefully on Sunday, November 30th, 2025.

For two years, Meredith faced a horrible disease with a courage, grace, and determination that inspired everyone who knew her. We all believed she would overcome it, because that was her essence—strong, hopeful, and brave. She was a fighter until her very last breath.

It was an honor to have known, loved, and held her hand through moments of both light and sadness. Meredith’s life and her radiant spirit have left a permanent imprint on every person fortunate enough to have crossed her path. She was a kind friend, an honest soul, and a woman of effortless, classic style.

Being by her side through joy, pain, and every moment in between was the greatest privilege. In caring for her, I was blessed to forge a deep friendship with her sister, Courtney—a bond that has made her my sister, too. I will forever cherish our shared memories and Meredith’s unwavering courage.

A heartfelt thank you to my incredible family and the unbreakable bonds formed along this journey. Thank you also to the wonderful family Meredith gifted me; your love has been a profound source of strength.

Details of services will be shared as arrangements are finalized. In lieu of flowers, honoring Meredith’s compassionate heart, we ask that donations be made in her name to the Paula Takacs Foundation.
