Renee Inomata Boston, MA Obituary: Asian Community Fund Steering Committee

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Renee Inomata, a cherished leader, mentor, and beloved member of the Boston community, who passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025. Renee’s loss is deeply felt across the many organizations and individuals whose lives she touched through her generosity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to service.

Renee was an inaugural member of the Asian Community Fund (ACF) Steering Committee, where she played a transformative role in shaping the vision, mission, and long-term impact of the fund. Her strategic insight and steady leadership were central to building ACF into a permanent platform for AAPI philanthropy. She also helped guide the launch of the Asian Business Empowerment Council, a milestone initiative advancing economic opportunity, equity, and community empowerment for AAPI business owners across Massachusetts.

Renee was widely admired for her wisdom, compassion, and ability to uplift others. She was a dedicated mentor who nurtured emerging leaders and created space for voices that too often go unheard. Whether through thoughtful advice, quiet encouragement, or meaningful gestures of care, Renee connected with people in ways that left lasting impressions. Many who worked alongside her consider themselves better leaders—and better people—because of her.

Renee’s legacy is woven into the Asian Community Fund, the Asian Business Empowerment Council, and the broader AAPI community she championed with conviction and heart. Her impact will continue to be felt for generations.

We hold Renee’s family, loved ones, and countless friends in our thoughts during this time of immense loss. May her memory be a blessing and her legacy continue to inspire all who follow in her footsteps.
